Think heavy contouring, shimmery highlighter all over the face, big brows & even bigger lashes. Blush blindness had not yet entered the chat. So I naturally gravitated towards editorial (fashion shoots) where the brief was usually more 'clean girl beauty'. I learnt a lot on set, assisting my friend Jasmin Lo. She basically un-taught me a lot of what I'd learnt at college about makeup, especially bridal makeup. Like me, she has a more subtle approach & understands the importance of proper skin prep & how it effects both longevity & the finished look.

After college, my time at Mecca was an unforgettable experience. I not only learnt how to colour match at a glance by memorising every shade of Nars foundations (LOL.) I was given so many amazing opportunities. Such as being flown to Melbourne to be on the artistry team for Fashion Week, a definite 'pinch me' moment. As well as being hand-picked to travel across Sydney, as part of the artistry teams for Chantecaille, Hourglass Cosmetics, Nars & By Terry.

 

I finally found my niche in the bridal industry when I relocated to Byron Bay. Life slowed down, brides were super chilled & clients were beginning to request cruelty free or vegan makeup with natural vibes. Since I was little, I've always loved makeup & animals (I'm a bunny-Mum), so becoming a cruelty free bridal specialist in Australia's wedding capital, the Northern Rivers, was inevitable really.

If you've ever had a not-so-great makeup experience where you've felt like it was caked on, I totally get it, because I've had them myself! Although I tailor every look to suit my brides individual visions, they'll always have my radiant, long lasting signature complexion. My technique is always skin-focused & involves careful layering. So even if you opt for full coverage, I'll ensure your skin still looks like skin, with a lit from within radiance.
