I became a qualified makeup artist ten years ago (graduating from The Sydney College of Makeup at the end of 2015) & have loved every minute of my career so far! Despite starting out in 2016 (IYKYK) My vibe was natural, radiant & glowy (it still is.) Meanwhile, everyone was requesting OTT full-glams.

Think heavy contouring, shimmery highlighter, big brows & even bigger lashes. It was no surprise that I naturally gravitated towards editorial (fashion shoots) where the brief was often 'clean-girl beauty' or 'soft-glam'. I learnt a lot on set, assisting Jasmin Lo. Jas basically changed the perceptions I'd formed during makeup college, especially about bridal makeup. "More is more" wasn't actually necessary. She taught me how a subtle approach to layering, understanding skin prep & how it effects both longevity & the finished look, was what mattered more than heavy application.

Post-college, at Mecca, I not only learnt how to colour-match at a glance (by memorising every shade of Nars foundation LOL.) I was also given some amazing opportunities; being flown to Melbourne for Fashion Week, was a definite 'pinch me' moment. As well as being hand-picked for artistry events & travelling around Sydney for Chantecaille, Hourglass Cosmetics, Nars & By Terry.
I fell in love with bridal artistry when I relocated to Byron Bay. Life slowed down, brides were beginning to request cruelty free or vegan makeup with soft-glam, natural vibes. Since I was little, I've always loved makeup & animals (I'm a bunny-Mum), so becoming a cruelty free bridal specialist in Australia's wedding capital, the Northern Rivers, was inevitable really.

If you've ever had a not-so-great makeup experience where you've felt like it was caked on, I totally get it, because I've had them myself! Although I tailor every look to suit my brides individual vision, I'll always pair it with my signature complexion; radiant, yet long lasting (flattering in-person & photographically, while being designed for Australia's humid climate.) Even if you opt for full coverage, I'll ensure your skin still looks like skin, with a lit from within radiance. If this sounds like your wedding day makeup vibe, enquire before you miss out!

Some of my preferred vegan & cruelty free makeup or skincare brands include; Makeup by Mario, Hourglass Cosmetics, Tarte`, Natasha Denona, It Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Huda Beauty & Charlotte Tilbury.
